Filipino Wikimedians, let’s vote in the 2013 WMF elections!

Well, first things first: yes, the blog is back after a pretty long hiatus. 🙂

But anyway, this is a friendly reminder to all Wikimedians in the Philippines to please vote in the 2013 Wikimedia Foundation elections!

The following positions are being contested: three seats to the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation, two seats to the Wikimedia Foundation’s Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC), and the position of FDC Ombudsman.

Voting opened last Saturday, June 8, and will continue until June 22 (next Saturday).  All Wikimedians in the Philippines who are eligible to vote (eligibility criteria here) are highly encouraged to vote.  Remember: these elections will determine how the movement will be run for the next 2-3 years.

So what are you waiting for?  Vote now!  If you’re logged in, you should see a banner message on any Wikimedia project you’re logged into: just click the link, follow the steps, and submit your ballot!
